Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about using FlickPlace
Is FlickPlace free?
Yes, it is free for everyone. Ads may appear on some screens to keep the service running, but there is no charge for using the recommendation feature.
How does the AI recommend places?
The AI analyzes your request (mood, occasion, company, budget, and so on), then searches real place data from map services such as Kakao, Google, and Naver to pick the 3–5 best matches. It never invents places that do not exist.
Does it recommend places abroad?
Yes. It covers restaurants, cafés, and attractions in Korea as well as destinations abroad. It supports six languages (Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, and Spanish) so travelers visiting Korea can use it easily.
How accurate are the recommendations?
Only places verified through real map APIs are recommended, so you can rely on them. Details such as ratings, opening hours, price level, and reviews are pulled fresh from official sources like Google and Naver.
Do I have to log in?
You can get place recommendations without logging in. Some features — such as saving favorite places and keeping your history — require a Kakao or Google social login.
How is my location data used?
Location data is used only when you explicitly allow it, kept temporarily within the session to generate a recommendation, and then discarded. We do not store your location on our servers.
Can I save or share the places I find?
Yes. When logged in, you can save places you like and revisit them later, and you can share a recommendation with others via a link.
What kinds of places can I find?
It supports many categories — restaurants, cafés, desserts, bars, attractions, and date or outing spots — across all of Korea and major cities abroad.
